Cathleen Kelly Rebar serves as a Magisterial District Judge in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Judge Rebar was elected in 2009 and re-elected in 2015 by both Republicans and Democrats. She is widely regarded as an accomplished legal professional and respected Judge. Over the past 12 years of service in her role as a Magisterial District Judge, she has handled over 50,000 matters, including traffic citations, landlord-tenant matters, civil cases, summary citations and criminal matters including high-profile matters with national exposure. Judge Rebar has earned a reputation as effective and fair to all who appear before her.

Educational Background:

Judge Rebar is a 1998 graduate of Villanova University School of Law.

Judge Rebar has 12 years of service as an accomplished and experienced Judge in Montgomery County and 23 years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer. Judge Rebar started her career as a prosecutor, first for the county and later as a Deputy Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Since moving to private practice in 2001, she has handled complex litigation across the country and is considered a top litigator in the country. She is also a managing partner of an award-winning law firm with offices in four states.

In her judicial capacity, Judge Rebar has presided over high-publicity cases garnering national attention and has handled some of Montgomery County’s most serious cases.

Community Involvement:

The Rebar family has resided in Lower Providence Township since 1963 and has deep ties and connections to the local community. Judge Rebar has actively participated in local community activities, fund-raising and community service for over 20 years. Judge Rebar has provided hundreds of hours of community service to the community annually for the past 12 years and has initiated and supported multiple community sponsored programs aimed at serving the under-privileged and under-served members of the community while also supporting local businesses.
