Since taking the bench in 2010 Judge Rebar has employed a judicial approach that demonstrates a genuine consideration for the safety of the public and the rehabilitative possibilities of those who come before her. While tough on crime and focused on accountability for one’s actions, Judge Rebar has initiated many alternative sentencing programs focused on education and opportunity. As an experienced legal professional and attorney, Judge Rebar often uses her own knowledge and skill to help guide others in overcoming their circumstances through education, community service and application for alternative dispositions. Understanding the difference between crime and mistake is a significant part of the work done by Judge Rebar as a community judge. With the cooperation and agreement of the Commonwealth, many individuals who simply needed guidance have been rehabilitated instead of prosecuted. Through these programs, Judge Rebar has helped grow the community in a positive way.

Judge Rebar has also presided over some of Montgomery County’s most serious criminal cases. When it comes to cases before her, Judge Rebar has a reputation as an expert jurist with a no nonsense approach to crime. She is widely considered as a fair and impartial judge with expert knowledge and a straight forward approach to the handling of matters in her Court.

In addition to criminal, traffic and non-traffic matters, Judge Rebar handles landlord-tenant and civil matters through Magisterial District Court. As evidenced by the outcomes of those cases, Judge Rebar’s 23 years of legal experience has resulted in a low appeal rate and many matters which are resolved at the Magisterial District Court level.
