Biography
& Resume |
|
I am married to Michael Rebar, Jr, and live
with my husband and my son in the house where my husband grew up,
located at 21 Ashwood Lane, Eagleville, Pennsylvania 19403. We have a
four year old son named Michael. We
have close ties to our neighbors and are devoted members in good
standing at Visitation B.V.M. Church. My husband, a Corporal with
the Pennsylvania State Police, was born and raised in Lower Providence and
together we have made Lower Providence our community and the place where we
will raise our family. My mother-in-law, Patricia Mager Rebar, is a
fixture at the rectory at Visitation B.V.M., as she has been for the
past 38 years. She is also a long-time member of the Women's
Guild. My father-in-law, Michael Rebar, now deceased, was also a
Pennsylvania State Trooper and a member of the Optimist Club. My four
year old son attends the Audubon YMCA day care. Our family is
dedicated to the Lower Providence community. I graduated magna cum laude from C.W.
Post College, with a bachelor's degree in English and
Psychology in 1995, and then graduated from Villanova University School
of Law in 1998. While in law school, I interned with the Suffolk
County District Attorney's Office, in New York; the Delaware County District
Attorney's Office, in Media, Pennsylvania; and, the United States Attorney's
Office in Wilmington Delaware. Moreover, under the student practice
rule, I represented the Commonwealth at preliminary hearings before
every Magisterial District Judge in Delaware County. During the
two years I served in that capacity, I conducted over 500 preliminary
hearings on behalf of the Commonwealth. After graduation from law school, I
served the Commonwealth as an Assistant District Attorney under Patrick
Meehan, the former District Attorney for Delaware County and the former
United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where I
tried multiple misdemeanor and felony cases before Judges and
juries. I was also assigned to the Drug Court and appeared every
week before the Magisterial District Judge assigned to preside
over narcotic cases under the Drug Task Force. In addition,
I continued to handle preliminary hearings involving sensitive and
higher exposure cases throughout the county. In 2000,
I transitioned to the State Attorney General's Office where I continued
to serve the Commonwealth, under Attorney General Mike Fisher, by
prosecuting white-collar fraud and neglect cases in the southeastern
region of the Commonwealth, including Montgomery County. Since 2002, I have been in private
practice in Montgomery County, practicing in both the civil and the criminal
defense arenas in every jurisdiction in southeastern Pennsylvania
and many jurisdictions across the state. Currently, I am a shareholder and partner
in my firm, McCumber, Daniels, Buntz, Hartig & Puig, P.A. located at 1400
S. Trooper Road, Suite 102, Eagleville, Pennsylvania 19403. In my professional endeavors, I have had
the experience of appearing before Magisterial District Judges in
Montgomery, Chester, Bucks, Berks, Delaware and
Northampton Counties. In those appearances,
I have represented plaintiffs and defendants in civil cases.
Further, I have conducted hearings as a prosecutor and defended them on
behalf of criminal defendants. I do not believe there will be any
candidate running in this election that is more qualified than I to serve
as a successor to Judge Benjamin Crahalla. |
